These terms are an agreement between you and Silent Ridge. They cover this website and the Silent Ridge app. We’ve kept them short on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask us.

The short version

• You stay hidden until you choose to apply.
• Be honest, and treat people well.
• Use what you see here only for hiring.

Access

Silent Ridge is invite-only during early access. We review every request and may say no.

If you’re looking for work

• Keep your profile accurate.
• Employers see an anonymous profile until you apply. When you apply for a role, that company sees your details, and that can’t be undone.
• Companies you block never see you.

If you’re hiring

• We verify your company before you can reach anyone.
• Post real roles with a real salary band.
• Use a candidate’s details only for the role they applied for. Don’t try to work out who an anonymous candidate is, or contact them outside Silent Ridge before they apply.
• Agencies record their end client privately, so candidates’ blocks still work.
• Prices are on our pricing page, plus GST. We’ll tell you before they change.

Things you can’t do

• Pretend to be someone else, or post anything false, unlawful or discriminatory.
• Scrape, copy or resell Silent Ridge or its data.
• Try to break, overload or get around Silent Ridge’s security.

Reports

Anyone can report a role, company or person. We review every report, and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

Our side

We work hard to keep Silent Ridge running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that you’ll find a job or a hire. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Leaving

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Changes

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above, and email you if the change affects you.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Silent Ridge exists so you can look for work without being seen. This policy says what we collect, why, and who sees it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.

The short version

• Employers can’t see who you are until you apply.
• We don’t sell your data, and we never use it to train AI.
• Our website metrics are blind: no cookies, no tracking, nothing that identifies you.

What we collect

• Your request: when you ask for access or contact us, what you type into the form.
• Your profile: built from your resume. Career history, skills, education, location, work rights and salary band.
• Your identity: name, email, phone, LinkedIn and suburb, kept separate from your profile.
• Your activity: roles you show interest in, applications, blocks and reports.

Who sees what

• Before you apply, employers see an anonymous profile only: no name, contact details, employer names, institutions or dates.
• When you apply for a role, only the company that posted it sees your full profile.
• Companies you block never see you, and aren’t told.
• Our team doesn’t browse profiles. Support access needs your request, and every view of your identity is logged.

Blind metrics

We count visits to this website with PostHog, set up so it can’t tell who you are:

• no cookies, and nothing stored on your device
• your IP address isn’t kept
• no session recordings, and no tracking across sites
• each visit gets a random ID that’s forgotten when you leave the page

We see totals, like how many people opened a page or pressed a button. Never who.

Who helps us

We share data only with the services that run Silent Ridge, and only what each one needs:

• Cloudflare hosts this website.
• Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox.
• PostHog counts visits, as above.
• Clerk handles sign-in.
• OpenAI reads your resume to build your profile. It doesn’t keep it or train on it. Your application letters are never read by AI.
• DigitalOcean hosts the app and its database in Sydney.

Some of these services are in the United States, so your data may be processed outside Australia. If you connect an AI assistant to Silent Ridge, what you ask passes through that assistant under its own terms.

Your choices

• Edit your profile and block companies at any time.
• Download your data, or ask us for a copy or a correction.
• Delete your account and you leave every pool straight away. Applications you’ve already sent stay with those companies.

Keeping it safe

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. If a breach affects you, we’ll tell you, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
